Enterprise AI in 2026: The Shift from Experimentation to Economic Impact

It is a fact! Most organizations have an AI execution problem.

This World Economic Forum (WEF) report on Real-World AI Adoption from 2025 MINDS Organizations, is one of the more grounded reads I’ve seen.

A few data points that stood out:

📊 Only ~26% of companies are seeing significant financial value from AI.
The gap: operating model, data readiness, and change management.

📊 High-performing organizations are 2–3x more likely to embed AI into core workflows.
The gap: move out of the pilot mindset.

📊 Organizations that invest equally in data foundations, talent, and governance outperform those that focus primarily on models or tools.
The gap: focus more on organizational than technical aspects.

The real takeaway for enterprise strategists:

-> AI advantage is no longer about who pilots first, but who industrializes fastest.

The report makes it clear that winning AI roadmaps in 2026 will:

-> Treat AI as a business capability, not a technology program/problem

-> Redesign processes for human-AI collaboration

-> Put responsible AI and governance on the critical path

👉 Worth a read if you’re moving from “AI curiosity” to measurable enterprise outcomes.
