DeepSeek-R1: My initial take

🤯 Just blew my mind with DeepSeek-R1! 🤯

Took the local version of DeepSeek-R1:8B for a spin today, using both the Open WebUI and ChatboxAI interfaces. To say I am impressed would be an understatement! The models ran smooth (like butter), especially considering I’m working with integrated graphics (no NVIDIA GPU). The efficiency and responsiveness were remarkable, showcasing the advancements in optimizing AI for resource-constrained environments.

While this is still an early assessment, the results are promising. It’s a testament to how far we’ve come in democratizing access to powerful AI tools.
